Bowerham Kids’ Club was established in 2011 to provide high quality wraparound provision at Bowerham Nursery and Primary School. Initially this was just breakfast and after school club. However, we soon expanded to include holiday provision to local primary age children. First and foremost, we are a play-based setting and follow the Playwork principles to make the environment safe, engaging and accessible to children so that they are able to learn and develop through play.

We currently provide 50 places for breakfast club, 100 for after school and 60 for holiday club. During term time, we provide breakfast, after school club and Inset days for children that attend Bowerham Nursery and Primary School.

We then open during the school holidays, except Christmas and May half term, for primary age children from the surrounding area and local schools. We pride ourselves in making children from other schools being made to feel welcome and included. We are an Ofsted registered setting and we have a large team, consisting of a core group of staff, apprentices, volunteers and students, all managed by Suzannah Keeves and Sam Brand. The club offers lots of fun and interesting things to do and we have a range of brilliant indoor and outdoor spaces, including the trim trail, the field, the Multi Use Games Arena and a large playground.
